A super easy salmon recipe that guarantees maximum satisfaction. It is sticky, moist and delicious.
Some might think I love the hustle and bustle in the kitchen sink because I'm a passionate home cook, though, not really. I enjoy washing dishes but to dry and put them back where they came from is always a long sigh. At home, I'm 20 feet away from the kitchen after dinner. That's why no matter how much I dislike when somebody is on my way while I'm moving around cooking, I can't shoo them because they detest dirty dishes and utensils pilling up as well. In other words, you will not go through a lot of buzz and noise to make this delicious baked salmon.
This salmon recipe was inspired by this honey-ginger glazed salmon on this site and goes well with our house salad recipe with ginger vinaigrette for a healthy meal, or, this amazing perfect lemon roasted asparagus makes a delicious accompaniment.

Sweet chilli sauce is sometimes known as Thai sweet chilli sauce or Asian sweet chilli sauce. It is sweet, savoury, tangy and spicy and is available in any grocery store, with many brands that you could choose from. Should you want to go further and make your own homemade sweet chilli sauce, a recipe from Daring Gourmet is what I like the best.

How to make a simple sweet chilli salmon dinner?
You've reached this far, then you must like something healthier, sweet and spicy, right? The easiness of preparing and cooking will make you fall in love with me even more (I'm blushing here).
Prep and bake
Line your salmon fillet in the baking dish. Generously spread the sweet chilli sauce on top, allowing the sauce to drip and coat all over the sides. Divide the sliced scallions among the salmon fillet. Bake in the preheated oven until it flakes easily but is moist.
To finish
Once it is cooked, sprinkle the salt and pepper and serve with a slice of lemon or lime alongside.
What to serve with sweet chilli salmon?
A bowl of plain steamed rice and simple sauteed spinach is one ticket to the easy world.
Do you want more flavours and deliciousness? Then, this herby rice and lime and sautéed bok choy and mushroom will guarantee to wow your family.
Note
Don't overcook the salmon. If you're not exposed to sushi, sashimi or even ceviche, that little faint pink color left in the middle will not kill you, not unless you're in a survival situation then go ahead cook all the way through. But know this, a super-firm and opaque orange all the way through, dry and chalky, frankly, is a waste of your hard-earned cash. This is why resting the fish before serving is important.
Equipment
Another reason you will love this recipe so much, you only need a baking dish. That's it! You don't need a dishwasher either.
Storage
It is great to make extra sweet chilli salmon. Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up 2-3 days and served either cold or warm.
